Strange Allegiances/Repent, Humanity

Mr. Brooker is a patriot.

It’s the turn of the Millenium and the United Kingdom is cursed.

Assistant Director Brooker of the United Kingdom’s Arcane Investigations Agency does not wish to see his Country fade away among the brighter lights of the Earth, and the only way to prevent that is to seize magical power from one of the older siblings of humanity.

A disastrous attempt against the Vampire Family leads to him seeking alliance with the omnipotent, chaotic Fae Courts. Supported by a dubious Government and a representative of the degenerate College he heads with a team into the madness of the Fae Monarchy for an audience with their Queens.

But Mr. Brooker may be about to learn that allegiances can be strange and humanity’s dealings with the Fae predate his own by centuries.

“The deaths among the advance team were an unexpected wrinkle. However, the initial approach to contact proceeded to whatever plan the IAI liaison had prepared…”

“Did the Liaison indicate any regret over the losses?”

“None that I could see. Agent D did comment that it was an expected cost of doing business.”
