Just before I cast myself into the abyss that is putting together TikTok videos for the series, I’m doing two things.
Maybe three.
The first is to put up the link to Watcher which has now made it through the Amazon process. Where is it you ask? Why immediately below, I reply, pondering whether I should eat a second Muller Rice whilst the children are out so that I can eat it in peace.
They don’t even like Muller Rice. I swear they only take the pot and stuff it down the side of the sofa to mess with me. Big personalities on those ones.
The second thing is to recommend a book. Or a series rather. It’s perfect for a variety of readers, though I think it’s aimed at middle schoolers there’s a magical quality to the writing that makes it appropriate for all ages. It has hints of Lewis Carroll by way of a kinder Coraline for me, but I think that there’s some depths to it that vary by the reader’s expectations and experience.
Start with Emma and the Minotaur, the first book in the series (called the World of Light). If you have children, Jon H (the Author) is currently running a rather good set up where you can get a free copy for your child for a book report. See if you can find him on Twitter!
The third thing, which is borderline, is a reminder to myself to get some paperback covers for the Prequels to Ice Age. I love those books but they’re roughly as popular as… lets just say they’re not getting a lot of reads. Will see if sticking up a paperback will work!
Next update will include a recommendation to read about a Magpie or two. Along with the purchase of some impossible fruit.
It’ll make sense soon.
