Frying tonight

A Kenneth Williams reference from Carry on Screaming, which seems appropriate given the borderline horror element of the series to date. Also because I couldn’t think of another intro to this blog.

The series has made a few leaps and bounds towards publication since my last post, so rather than going further into the individual books I thought I’d just note the publishing plan for Ice Age in Scarlet.

Which is that I will be publishing Master in his Tomb on 25 August 2021 on Draft 2 Digital and Amazon, with paperbacks via IngramSparks.

Following on from that, plan is to rapid release the five prequels on Kindle Unlimited rather than going wide. They’re stand-alone novellas and might get a reader interested in the dystopian world of Ice Age in Scarlet, and if not, then nothing lost for said reader.

Given that they’re novellas and I’m not releasing them as paperbacks individually (maybe a collected tome a little further down the line) they’re going to have my very finest Canva covers as a placeholder. Here we have the draft for Strange Allegiances, the earliest in time of the prequels, being a failed attempt by the UK in the early 2000s to make an alliance with the Fae Queens.

After that I have the cover for Watcher on the Water nearing completion and that one just needs formatting before I can slot it all together…

And so the publishing journey begins!
